
At its July 16 workshop, the City Council was presented with a proposed budget and summary for the 2014-2015 biennium.
The budget summary, which includes the time line for reviewing and approving the 2014-2015 budget, and additional city financial information can be found at edenprairie.org/budget.
At the beginning of each budget cycle the City Council sets goals for the upcoming years that may or may not have a financial impact. One of the Council’s goals is to increase engagement with the community and provide more opportunities for residents to participate in their local government.

In April, the city launched the online engagement portal CITY CONNECT to encourage residents to weigh in on projects and issues, and submit ideas to help the City Council and staff in planning and decision-making. Topics thus far have included the Community Center Aquatics Center and “Going Green.”
There are several new topics posted on CITY CONNECT that relate to City Council goals and overall quality of life in Eden Prairie. These topics will be open for comment during the month of August.
