Eden Prairie Girls’ Lacrosse Places Third in State

The Eden Prairie girls’ lacrosse team took third in state Sunday after defeating Stillwater 13-8 at Chanhassen High School.

The first half of the game was tight, with Eden Prairie up 3-2 at the close of play. But the Eagles picked up the pace in the second half—outscoring Stillwater 10-6.

Anna Johnson and Emma Claire Fontenot led the way for the Eagles with four goals each. Johnson also had three assists, while Fontenot had one assist. Jessica Lagerquist scored three goals.

Johnson and Fontenot were both named to the all-tournament team.
