Eden Prairie Named a Sterling Tree City USA Community

The Arbor Day Foundation has named Eden Prairie a Tree City USA for the 37th time. The City has received the growth award 10 times during that span, making Eden Prairie a Sterling Tree City USA community. The growth award program is presented to Tree City USA communities to demonstrate higher levels of tree care and community engagement throughout the year. Find various tree species on a self-guided tree trek during Eden Prairie's Arbor Day Walk.

Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation

As of today at noon, Eden Prairie is in 9th place in our population category for the challenge! There is still time to make your pledge. Throughout the month of April, residents can make online pledges at mywaterpledge.com on behalf of Eden Prairie. By making a pledge, participants promise to follow a series of conservation measures for their homes, yards and cars, such as washing only full loads of laundry, fixing leaky faucets, and walking or biking short distances. Cities with the highest percentage of residents who take the challenge in their population category qualify for a chance to win $3,000 toward their home utility bills and hundreds more eco-friendly prizes.
