City Yard Waste Drop-Off Site Open

The City's Yard Waste Drop-Off Site has opened for the season and is available for use by Eden Prairie residents and businesses free of charge. Hours of operation, guidelines for use and a list of materials accepted at the site are available at edenprairie.org/YardWaste.

MN Department of Health Vaccination Clinics

The MN Department of Health is providing free COVID-19 vaccinations to anyone ages 16 and older at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Hopkins May 2 (first dose) and May 23 (second dose). Click here to register.

Green Partners Environmental Education Grants

Hennepin County provides funding and support to organizations to actively educate, engage and motivate residents to become environmental stewards and make positive behavior changes. The County focuses on actions to prevent waste, recycle, reduce household hazardous waste, conserve energy, care for trees, protect pollinators and improve our air and water quality. Hennepin County awards two types of environmental education grants: environmental action grants and youth environmental education grants. Submit your application on the Hennepin County Supplier Portal by 3 p.m. Thursday, May 6.

County Offers Grants for Building Deconstruction

Hennepin County is offering grants to homeowners and developers who deconstruct buildings to salvage building materials rather than demolish them. Many building materials can be salvaged for reuse or recycling to help divert waste from landfills. Commonly salvaged building materials include old growth lumber, doors, flooring, cabinets and fixtures.
