Eden Prairie Resident Participates in Roadtrip Nation

Documentary Following Her Cross Country Journey to Learn More About Higher Education is Now Available Online

Eden Prairie resident Kylie Yearwood is appearing in Roadtrip Nation’s new one-hour documentary, “Degree of Impact,” which is now available online at www.degreeofimpact.com and airing on local American Public Television stations across the country.

Yearwood was one of three doctoral students who was filmed for three weeks last spring, traveling across the United States in an RV, to meet and interview professionals and doctoral graduates who pursued their educational dreams, overcame challenges, and went on to lead successful and diverse careers.

Yearwood is a nurse, wife and mother of three, who is currently pursuing her PhD in Nursing with a focus on Interdisciplinary Health at Walden University. She moved to Minnesota last year to accept a faculty position with Herzing University in its baccalaureate nursing program. She was looking to get back into academia while finishing her PhD, and she says that going on the road trip last summer gave her the courage to reach out beyond what was available in Georgia.
