Expect Delays on Highway 169 Through August

Motorists will encounter delays as both directions of Highway 169 between Shakopee and Bloomington will be reduced to a single lane.

Beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, July 26 both northbound and southbound traffic on Hwy. 169 between Highway 101 and Old Shakopee road will be reduced to a single lane and will be shifted to the north side of the road.

At the same day and time, the following ramps to southbound Hwy 169 will close:

Motorists are advised to follow the signed detour for ramp closures or to find alternative routes to help minimize delays.

Once southbound is complete, in approximately two weeks, all traffic will be shifted to the south side of the highway and work will begin on the northbound lanes. These closures are necessary as crews replace joints on the Bloomington Ferry Bridge and make other improvements in the area.
