Laptop Rollout For Eden Prairie High School Students

More than 2,900 students at Eden Prairie High School will receive a MacBook Air laptop computer during the first week of school.

Each of the 2,900 students at Eden Prairie High School will receive a MacBook Air laptop computer during the first week of school as the district’s next phase of i-Learn@EP rolls out.

EPHS is one of the first public high schools in the state to supply their student body with laptop computers to enhance their learning.

When the students report to their assigned computer lab they will spend about an hour initializing their computer with login information, receiving information about district policies regarding the use and care of the laptops and signing a usage agreement.

The high school’s teaching staff has been preparing for the rollout with training on how to integrate the use of technology into their lessons. The staff has been using MacBook Air laptops since last year.

The district’s 5th and 6th graders will also have greater access to technology as laptop carts become part of each classroom’s tool set. The carts will be available in the classroom the first week of school.
