McDonald's Giving Away Free Backpacks Saturday
The Lions Club Corn Feed is on Saturday, as well. The sweet corn is unlimited and there are games and sloppy joes.
If you schedule your weekend right, you can pick up a free backpack for your kids and eat all the sweet corn you want for $8.
McDonald's restaurants are giving away free backpacks starting at 8 a.m. Saturday. Only the McDonald's at 598 Prairie Center Drive is participating in the promotion.
About 100 backpacks will be available at each McDonald's that is part of "Backpack Saturday." Some nearby McDonald's also are participating:
- 90 Lake Drive E., Chanhassen
- 2840 Chaska Boulevard, Chaska
- 1120 Hazeltine Boulevard, Chaska
- 227 Marschall Road, Shakopee
- 3990 12th Ave. E., Shakopee
- 4000 W. Old Shakopee Road, BloomingtonÂ
- 9240 Bloomington Ferry Road, BloomingtonÂ
Children can play on the Splash Pad, play games and listen to live music. Check the event on the Lions Club website for more information, including the cost for children to eat.
The feed will raise money for Camp Eden Wood, scholarships for Eden Prairie High School seniors, PROP, Camp Courage, Meals on Wheels, Chrestomathy, and Opportunity Partners.
Here are some other events this weekend in Eden Prairie:
- Nature Rocks! Outdoor Center Open House from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
- "After 5" will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Staring Lake Amphitheatre.
