Man Drowns in Eden Prairie Community Pool
A 34-year-old male drowned in the Eden Prairie Community Center pool Thursday.
A man drowned Thursday at the Eden Prairie community center pool.
Authorities were dispatched at approximately 8:30 p.m. to the Eden Prairie Community Center on a call of a medical emergency involving a 34-year-old male.
Bystanders, community center employees and emergency responders attempted to resuscitate the individual, according to a news release.

The individual was pronounced dead at approximately 9:40 p.m.
The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name and cause of death of the individual.
The Department of Natural resources reports that through July, there were 25 non-boating drownings in Minnesota this year.
