Police Say Man Assaulted a Woman and Her Daughter

Eden Prairie Police believe a Shakopee man assaulted an Eden Prairie mother and her daughter.

Ilaisa Futa Taloa, 34, has been charged with two counts of assault: one count in the third degree, a felony, and another in the fifth degree, a misdemeanor.

On April 14 before 11 a.m., police were dispatched to a residence on Chestnut Drive in Eden Prairie. A woman told police that Taola had assaulted her and and mother. She said Taola was dating her sister and that that when he had pushed her sister, the mother had told him to leave.

He allegedly punched the first woman in the ribs and struck the mom in the face, sending her into a wall. She lost consciousness for a minute and was bleeding profusely from the lip, which required 16 stitches to close.
