Police Say Woman Fled Police After Stealing From Eden Prairie Walmart

Her accomplice allegedly told police they needed money to buy meth.

A Plymouth woman is accused of stealing from Walmart in Eden Prairie and then fleeing from police.

Kirsten Marie Loges, 33, was charged with felony fleeing a peace officer in a car and misdemeanor theft.

On April 18, Eden Prairie Police received a report of theft at Walmart. Officers learned the suspects were driving on Prairie Center Drive and attempted to pull the car over. Police say instead of pulling over, Loges increased her speed to over 50 miles per hour in a 40 miles per hour zone. She swerved around other vehicles that were pulling over, according to the complaint. A PIT maneuver was used to stop the car.

Police took Loges and a passenger into custody. Walmart staff told police they saw the passenger take a $478 computer from the store and get into Loges' car that was parked just outside the door. The passenger allegedly told police that he and Loges use methamphetamine and needed money.

Police say Loges admitted she knew the passenger had taken the computer and that she knew police were trying to stop her but sped up anyway.
