The school year begins in just a few weeks and will include distance learning for many of our students. We’re all feeling the effects of diminished social opportunities, but we also know that COVID19 isolation can be especially hard on kids and their families.

“School of Rock Eden Prairie is joining the fight against childhood isolation by opening our doors during school hours with a day-camp program. Day camp enrollment is limited to only 25 masked students each day so that we can practice safe distancing,” explained Stacey Marmolejo, School of Rock Eden Prairie franchise owner. “Enrolled campers will have the opportunity to complete school work in an individual study room and fill the remainder of the day with engaging music programming that only the School of Rock can offer. Not only does this afford parents the opportunity to go into their office or enjoy quiet as they work from home, but more importantly it helps their children grow in their social development while keeping depression, anxiety, sadness and loneliness at bay.”

  • A staff member at the front door checks everyone’s temperature who enters the building. Those with a temperature are not allowed to stay. Therefore, when a parent drops their child off, they will need to remain in the parking lot until the child is cleared to enter the building.
  • Everyone entering the building is required to use the hand sanitizer at the door, and each time they transition to a new room.
  • Everyone must wear a mask while they are in the building.
  • Only students and staff are allowed in the building.
  • Our staff sanitizes each room between group rotations.
  • Our staff sanitizes all instruments and surfaces between group rotations.
  • In addition to 6 feet distance markers, practice rooms have clear shields and plastic barriers, separating musicians.
