Watch 'The Lorax' in Staring Lake Park with Other Families

The Dr. Seuss movie and an Eden Prairie Players Children's Theater performance are just a couple of the events on Friday.

What a perfect idea to watch "The Lorax" while sitting among the trees for which he speaks.

Movies in the Park in Eden Prairie starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday with "The Raptors of Minnesota" in Staring Lake Park, according to a news release from the city of Eden Prairie. Raptors are birds of prey, and this program will include birds from The Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota.

"The Lorax," which is rated PG, will start at 9 p.m., according to the city. More information is available on the city's event page.

Also on Friday, the Children's Theater crew of the Eden Prairie Players will present "The Spell of Sleeping Beauty" at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Riley-Jacques Barn at Riley Lake Park.
