Edina Educator Up for Let's Dish Teacher of the Year Award
Concord Elementary School Teacher Sandi Oren is in the running for the annual award.

Concord Elementary School 3rd grade teacher Sandi Oren has been nominated for the Let's Dish Teacher of the Year award.
Let's Dish has six locations in Minnesota—including one in Edina—where customers can come and prepare meals to freeze and eat at home. A winning teacher will be selected for each of Let's Dish's Minnesota locations. The top vote-getters will receive eight meal sessions at Let’s Dish.

Sandi Oren, Concord Elementary School, Edina, 3rd Grade
Sandi puts in the time and effort necessary to make citizens of tomorrow! She helps kids learn in their own way and the kids love and respect her. She is fun and knows when the kids need to be challenged and when they need a break. Sandi keeps up to date with technology and current events and also has a healthy respect for the basics of just plain reading and writing. She has taught for 30 years at the same school and is retiring this year.
The Let’s Dish program allows community members to nominate a deserving teacher. Then, residents vote for their favorite teacher online. In 2012, according to Let’s Dish, 260 teachers were nominated and 14,000 people voted.
You can vote for Oren until April 30 on the Let's Dish website:

- Go to letsdish.com/mnteachers;
- Select "Edina" from the regional drop-down menu;
- Select your pick by marking the button to the left of the nominee's name.
Winners will be announced in early May.
