Edina Thespians Hosting ComedySportz Event Tuesday Night

The show kicks off at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Mar. 26, at the Edina Performing Arts Center.

Edina High School's Thespians have been training for several months now to provide a local spin on a popular comedy improvisation show.

The EHS Thespians will present their own take on ComedySportz at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Mar. 26, at the Edina Performing Arts Center. General admission tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students, and will be sold at the door of the event.

According to Thespian Advisor Tony Matthes, the show is likely to have audiences laughing all night long.

"It is packed with fast paced comedy improvisation," Matthes wrote in an email. "If you love 'Whose Line is it Anyway,' you will love ComedySportz."

16 of the Edina acting club's members have been training and competing for the last several months, in preparation for Tuesday night. The show will see all 16 actors compete against one another in a round robin celebration of improvisation games they've been working at.
