Edina Voters Gave Substantially More Support to Voter ID than Marriage Amendment

It wasn't an unusual combination among Nov. 6, 2012 Election Day results for Patch cities throughout Minnesota.

Unofficial results as of Friday showed the amendment to define marriage in the Minnesota Constitution as being between one man and one woman had 34.37 percent support in Edina. Support for the Voter ID amendment in Edina was 42.53 percent.

Most cities that Patch serves exhibited a similar split in support for the voter ID than the marriage amendment. But some, like Roseville and Fridley, registered greater support for the marriage amendment than for voter ID.
