Get your pet used to body handling

If your pet doesn't mind having his feet, ears and mouth touched, you can more easily do treatments on him

It’s never too early to get your dog or cat used to handling of its body. Handling the feet can prevent undue stress with regular nail trimming, necessary throughout life. Less than 25% of the clients I see brush their dog or cat’s teeth. Even before permanent teeth have erupted, rubbing the gums and letting your pet taste the flavored toothpaste available, can make lifelong brushing possible. Ear infections are one of the most common problems we see in dogs. Medicating a dog with apprehension of handling of the ears, can make a simple resolution, anything but simple.
