Edina's baseball team will be up bright and early this Saturday. First pitch for their Section 6AAA semi-final game against Wayzata is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. at the Metrodome, and with a win the Hornets would be a game away from a state tournament berth. Edina is the No. 3 seed in Section 6AAA and entered the playoffs having lost six of their last seven games to finish the regular season with a 9-10 record. A loss Saturday against Wayzata won't send the Hornets home, however. Edina would shuffle to the loser's bracket, where they would face the winner of Hopkins/Robbinsdale for a chance to advance to the section finals.
