Location: Eagan, MN

Job Type: Contract /Contract to hire

Position: Industrial Sewer

Shift: 11 AM – 7:30 PM, Monday-Friday

Compensation

$11/hour

Summary

Primarily responsible for putting final elements on each graphic for its designated application.  Acts as the final quality checkpoint before graphics orders are shipped.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

·          Read and interpret relevant information from work orders.

·          May be responsible for Hard Panel and/or Fabric finishing.

·          Hard Panel finishing responsibilities may include the following:

o    Cutting

o    Finishing - using magnets, velcro and/or grommets

o    Packing

·          Fabric finishing responsibilities may include the following:

o    Cutting

o    Finishing - using sewing machine

o    Packing

·          Complete pre-production of banner stands as required which includes some assembly, label application, etc.

·          Responsible for final accuracy/quality check of graphics product against the work order (i.e. color, size, proper finish, etc.).

·          May be asked to assist in other areas as required by the business.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·          Detail Oriented

·          Organization and time management skills.

·          Ability to work effectively, independently, and with others in a team environment.

·          Ability to check colors.

·          Ability to read a tape measure.

·          Ability to read work orders.

Minimum Education/Certification

·          High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Minimum Experience

·          1 year basic light assembly experience.

·          Some basic sewing experience a plus.

·          Basic math skills.

·          Basic computer skills a plus.

Equipment and Supplies Used

·          Personal computer

·          General hand tools (i.e. shears, tape gun and utility knife)

·          Splitter

·          Sewing machine

·           Grommet machine

·           Tape measure

Physical Requirements

·          Ability to pass color blindness test.

·          Lifting up to 40 lbs.

·          Standing and walking 100% of the time.  Bending, twisting, reaching, pushing and pulling on a regular basis.
