Martinus Weinans, Owner of Van Guilders Goldsmith, Dies at 70

Martinus Weinans, 70, died Aug. 18, 2013, on his 70th birthday, according to an obituary posted by The Peterson Chapel, St. Michael/Albertville.

Weinans was born in Emmen, the Netherlands during the war in 1943. He moved to the United States in 1969. In 1984, he opened Van Guilders Goldsmith in Minneapolis and later Edina, according to the obituary. 

A memorial service was held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2013 at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 21304 Church Avenue in Rogers.
