Million Dollar Duck. Meet-the-Artists Opportunity at the Arbroetum!

Art Exhibit Gallery Opening Reception Limited Engagement Cocktails Arboretum

Meet the Hautman Brothers and Opening Reception , Meet-the-Artists Opportunities, Thursday, Sept. 7, 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.

America's finest family of wildlife artists, Jim (from Chaska), Bob (from Delano) and Joe (from Plymouth) have created 50 new paintings for this Arboretum exhibit. They often use scenes from the Arboretum as inspiration for their work. These Minnesota brothers have a long, winning history in the prestigious federal duck stamp competition, winning 12 times in the past 28 years. Last year, they made history by sweeping first, second and third place. The contest decides which painting will be made into the the next year's duck stamp, a program that has raised millions of dollars for conservation efforts across the country. They are so big in the duck stamp world, they even made it into the Coen Brothers movie "Fargo" (both sets of brothers grew up a couple doors away from one another in St. Louis Park). The Hautmans greet visitors in Reedy Gallery, take part in a Q &A and sign merchandise. The documentary "Million Dollar Duck," about the Federal Duck Stamp contest, will have its Minnesota premiere. Join us for this wonderful event!
