Should your guinea pig or rabbit see a vet?

They need regular exams too!

How often should your guinea pig or rabbit be seen by the vet? We recommend once a year until 3 years old for guinea pigs and 5 years old for rabbits, then every 6 months. Dental problems are common as they age and an exam can help us decide if anesthesia and dental treatments are needed for overgrown molars and sharp edges to the molars.
