Coon Rapids Herald: Kristina Steck Greets Customers at Fridley Sam's Club, Helps Gillette
Through lollipop sales and other fundraisers, she has helped raise nearly $20,000 for Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare, the newspaper reported.

The Coon Rapids Herald has an article about Kristina Steck, who has greeted customers at Sam's Club in Fridley since 1999, and has helped the store raise $19,869 for Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare in St. Paul, where she received treatment as a child after being born with cerebral palsy:
Last year, as part of fundraising efforts for Gillette at the Fridley Sam’s Club, she sold 400 lollipops and helped with other in-store activities. ... Steck can be found sitting in her wheelchair—she uses a walker at home—every day, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the entry to the Fridley Sam’s Club greeting customers as they arrive at the store with a smile, a cheery, “Hello, how are you,” and a lollipop.
