Teen Says He Accidentally Started Fridley Playground Fire
Fox9 reported that a 15-year-old said he accidentally started a fire that burned half of the playground at Hayes Elementary School.
A teenager said he accidentally started a fire that burned a good portion of the Hayes Elemenary School playground.
Fox9 reported that 15-year-old Dylan Bendel said he was smoking near the playground Saturday afternoon when he started a fire in some wood chips near the playground. Bendel told Fox that he thought he put the fire out before walking away.
“I couldn’t believe the stupid reckless move I did,” Bendel told Fox.
