Before construction started, crews seized the opportunity to remove dead, hazardous trees and invasive buck thorn. Clearing the area allowed for a better view of the pond from the trail. Crews then dug out the existing trail and sub base and replaced it with a layer of rock for drainage followed by some fabric and another layer of class 5 recycled material for stability. Asphalt will be placed later this week.
For future construction updates, watch the City website.
