Drunk Man Throws Trash Out Window, Flees From Golden Valley Police
Officers arrested Kenneth Powe, a repeat offender, but the passenger in the back seat fled the scene.

On Feb. 24 at 7:30 a.m., Golden Valley police responded to a report of a person sitting in a residential driveway and throwing trash out the window.
Golden Valley Police Department incident reports show that the suspect was parked near the 300 block of Ottawa Avenue South.
According to a complaint filed in Hennepin County District Court, multiple police officers witnessed the driver, later identified as Kenneth Powe of St. Paul, driving away from the home.
Officers followed the car and turned on their squad lights, forcing the driver to stop the vehicle. When Officers asked the driver and passengers to show their hands, the back seat passenger ducked and Powe “appeared to fiddle with the automatic gear.” Powe put the car in reverse and sped away from officers.
According to the complaint, Powe eventually parked the car in the driveway of another residence and the rear passenger “fled out the door.”
Officers arrested Powe for fleeing from a police officer, a felony that carries a maximum penalty of 3 years in prison and a $5,000 fine. Powe was also arrested for both third and fourth-degree DWI charges.
This is not Powe's first run-in with law enforcement.
Minnesota court documents show that Powe was convicted of first-degree aggravated robbery in 2006. He was sentenced to 58 months in prison.
