Environmental And Human Rights Commissions Hosting Virtual Climate Change Event On January 28

Dr Seeley will present on the negative impact climate change has on different communities and open the floor for a Q & A.

To raise awareness and spark dialogue about the impacts of inequitable access to a clean, healthy environment and environmental amenities, the Golden Valley Environmental Commission (EC) and Human Rights Commission (HRC) are hosting the virtual event “Climate Change in Minnesota: Implications and Disparate Impacts” Jan 28, 6:30–7:30 pm.

The event will feature climatologist Dr Mark Seeley, professor emeritus of the University of Minnesota’s Department of Soil, Water, and Climate. Dr Seeley will present on the negative impact climate change has on different communities and open the floor for a Q & A.

The event will be broadcast on television and online for those wanting to watch, and a recording will be available for one week following the event.
