Golden Valley Business Council's March meeting

Golden Valley Business Council's March meeting was Thursday, March 25. Becky Bakken, Discover St. Louis Park, was our speaker. Bakken, President and CEO, oversees the marketing and sales efforts to promote the communities of St. Louis Park and Golden Valley, two suburban cities just west of Minneapolis. The organization was formed in 2011 and Becky has been at the helm since April 2015. Bakken serves as the voice of these dynamic communities to strengthen their economic vitality through tourism. She enjoys the collaborative spirit of Minneapolis metro-area DMOs. Bakken has a Bachelor degree in Hospitality Management and a Masters degree in Tourism. She serves on the board of the MN Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus. There were also updates from our city, school communities, Discover St. Louis Park & Golden Valley, our convention and visitors bureau, the Rotary Club, and the Chamber. Our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 22.
