Golden Valley Equity Forum To Discuss What It Means To Have Access To Voting
The event is scheduled to take place on October 8.
September 26, 2020
Up until 1965, in certain states Black men and women were barred from voting due to discriminatory practices adopted after the Civil War. Barriers like these and many others will be discussed in the City’s Oct 8 virtual equity forum “Building An Equitable Golden Valley: What Does It Mean to Have Access to Voting?”

At the forum, a moderated panel will explore the historical context of the voting process and discuss the barriers to voting that people face to participating in the voting process, including the impact of the current pandemic. A Q&A session will follow. The event will be broadcast on CCX Channel 16 and streamed at ccxmedia.org and on the City’s Facebook page.
