Golden Valley Police Apprehend Burglary Suspects After Pursuit

Golden Valley police were involved in a vehicle pursuit early Aug 19 that resulted in the vehicle crashing near Wayzata Blvd and Pennsylvania Ave S. Four individuals were detained and turned over to the Plymouth Police Department for further investigation.

At approximately 1:45 am on Aug 19, Golden Valley police located a vehicle traveling on Hwy 55 that had been involved in burglaries in both Minnetonka and Plymouth. When the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver of the suspect vehicle chose not to stop and fled from the police. The suspect lost control of the vehicle and crashed in the area of Wayzata Blvd and Pennsylvania Ave S.
Immediately after the crash, three of the vehicle’s five occupants fled on foot while two were detained at the scene. With the assistance of the St Louis Park, Plymouth, and Minnetonka Police Departments, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol helicopter, a perimeter was set up and two of the suspects were located and arrested. The four individuals detained were turned over to the Plymouth Police Department for further investigation.
