The Golden Valley Police Department (GVPD) continues to monitor the situation throughout the Twin Cities. Tonight, the GVPD will again have additional officers patrolling our streets to protect our residents and property.

Two incidents were reported overnight that may be related to the current trends in the metro: a burglary at Walgreens (5695 Duluth St) and vandalism at the Speedway (1930 Douglas Dr N). No arrests were made in either incident.

As a reminder, the Golden Valley City Council passed an ordinance imposing a city-wide nighttime curfew that will go into effect Saturday, May 30, 8 pm until Sunday, May 31, 6 am. During the curfew, all persons must not travel on any public street.
