Golden Valley Will Host Second Equity Forum On October 8

The City of Golden Valley is hosting its second equity forum Oct 8, 6–7:30 pm via Cisco Webex. The topic for this forum is Voter Access.

Voting is a fundamental right and privilege of every American citizen. Over time, barriers were erected that gave some groups more of a voice than others. A moderated panel will explore the historical context of the voting process and discuss current barriers to voting that people face, including COVID. A Q&A session will follow.

The event will be broadcast on CCX Channel 16 and streamed at ccxmedia.org and on the City’s Facebook page.

Before the event, the City will publish a survey for residents to participate.
