Kidde Recalls 226,000 Smoke And Combination Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Alarms In Golden Valley

The Golden Valley Fire Department is urging residents to check their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and replace them.

Kidde is recalling 226,000 of its own smoke and combination smoke/carbon monoxide alarms sold between May 2019 and September 2020 due to failure to alarm during a fire. The Golden Valley Fire Department is urging residents to check their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and replace them if they are found to be part of the recalled group.

This recall involves Kidde TruSense Smoke Alarms and Combination Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Alarms, and the recalled units are Kidde Model Series 2040, 2050, 2060 and 2070 Smoke and Combination Smoke/Carbon Monoxide alarms. Alarms with the TruSense logo or “AMBER=FAULT” printed on the front of the alarm only are included in this recall. The model number is printed on the back of the alarm.
