You’ll also learn about when and why sirens are activated and the difference between weather advisories, watches, and warnings.

Practice warnings are scheduled for Thursday, April 15 at 1:45 pm and 6:45 pm for a statewide tornado drill. Outdoor warning sirens and NOAA Weather Radios will sound in a simulated tornado warning. The first drill is intended for institutions and businesses. The evening drill is intended for second shift workers and families.
