Public Invited to Free Ultimate Tailgate Party on Sept. 8
Calvary Hosts Community Event Featuring Giant Outdoor Screen, Free Food & Activities

GOLDEN VALLEY, MINN. (Aug. 15, 2019) - Imagine watching Minnesota’s “Purple & Gold” in their first game of the regular season on a giant 20-foot x 10-foot outdoor screen! Calvary Lutheran Church in Golden Valley, Minn., invites the community to the Ultimate Tailgate Party on Sunday, Sept. 8, from 11:30 a.m. through the end of the football game (the Minnesota Vikings will be playing against the Atlanta Falcons starting at noon). The event will be free of charge and located in the church’s outdoor park at 7520 Golden Valley Road.
Calvary will provide a free lunch of burgers, bratwursts, hot dogs, chips and cookies from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Free pretzels, popcorn and root beer will be available throughout the event. Attendees are encouraged to wear their team jerseys and other game gear, and to bring their own lawn chairs. No alcohol will be served or allowed on Calvary’s premises.
Activities will include inflatables, yard games, face painting and drawings for many free giveaways. Raffles will be held for a Pit Boss Memphis 4-in-1 grill with smoker and two tickets to a Vikings game. Proceeds from the raffle tickets, which will sell for $1 each, will benefit the Neill Elementary School lunch program.
