The City of Minneapolis is scheduled to close Theodore Wirth Pkwy the week of Oct 5 between the railroad bridge and Plymouth Ave N for a resurfacing project that is expected to last four weeks. Please follow posted detours and use caution in areas where work is being performed.

Wirth Parkway Project Map
Street resurfacing is a type of street maintenance that removes the top layer of asphalt pavement on a street and puts on a new layer of asphalt. This extends the life of the street between more expensive fixes. The asphalt pavement resurfacing is intended to last about 10 years.
