Sign Up For The Golden Valley's Emergency Notification System, GV Emergency
GV Emergency allows the City to send out notifications in a variety of ways, including voice, text, email, mobile app, and more.

At the start of 2021, the City of Golden Valley upgraded its emergency notification tool, GV Emergency, and it recently put the tool to use to notify residents of the April 12, 2021 county-wide curfew. Residents who aren’t already signed up for GV Emergency are strongly encouraged to do so.

GV Emergency allows the City to send out notifications in a variety of ways, including voice, text, email, mobile app, and more.
Emergency notifications will tell you to take action and are only used as needed. This message will come from the number 866-419-5000. It is recommended to save this number in your contacts so you know who is calling.

General notifications will include messages to help you make informed decisions. These notifications will be used more frequently and only go to people who opt in. This message will come from the number 855-969-4636. It is recommended to save this number in your contacts so you know who is calling.
Register For GV Emergency
- Visit bit.ly/gv-subscribe and click “Subscribe.”
- Create a username and password.
- Enter your address and preferred contact methods (voice, text (SMS), email, etc). If you prefer to not receive general notifications, un-check “General Notifications” under Alert Type.
- Once you’ve finished entering your information, click “Verify Information.”
- Finally, download CodeRED’s mobile app to receive emergency notifications in participating areas while traveling.
Reminder: Save each GV Emergency number in your phone contacts so you know who is calling (see above)
The City expects to test the system quarterly, with the next coming the first week of May.
