VIDEO: 'Huge Mistake' to Eliminate Public Funding of Political Campaigns, Rep. Carlson Says

In legislative debates at the State Capitol Monday, Rep. Lyndon Carlson, Sr. (DFL-Golden Valley) said public funding of political campaigns helped "clean up" politics in Minnesota by diluting the power of special interest contributions to campaigns. This year, the legislature is considering eliminating the program, which Carlson argues would be a "huge mistake."
