An informational open house on the Medley Park Stormwater Feasibility Study is now available on the City website for residents to learn more about the proposed project. After watching the open house, residents are encouraged to take short survey to share their thoughts.

The Bassett Creek Watershed Management Commission (BCWMC), in partnership with the City of Golden Valley, is studying options for providing stormwater improvements in the western portion of Medley Park to benefit the surrounding area and protect and improve downstream waters like Medicine Lake.

Primary benefits of the project include:

  • improving the water quality of Medicine Lake and nearby surface waters
  • reducing flood damage to homes and infrastructure
  • protecting public health and safety
  • preserving economic value

After watching the open house, residents can take the survey here. The survey will close Dec 18, 2020.
