Hopkins Families Earn Cash for Items They No Longer Use

Area families consign their gently-used, high quality children's and maternity items and earn money while cleaning out their clutter!

Twice each year, hundreds of area moms and dads bring items to the Hopkins Pavilion to sell them in a consignment event specifically held for selling children’s and maternity items to other families who are looking for a bargain. The upcoming event, held August 18-20 will be the eighteenth one hosted at the Hopkins Pavilion. It is a fantastic way to earn money and clean out the items your family no longer has a need for. At the same time, area families are always looking for a way to get more for their money, and this is a fantastic way to get more bang for their buck when it comes to shopping for their growing families.

Consignors prepare and price their items in the comfort of their own home. Once consignors arrive at the Pavilion to drop their items off, each item is inspected to ensure that they meet Just Between Friends’ quality specifications. This drop off time happens over just a matter of two days and the 17,000 square foot space is filled with bargains to be had by the shoppers who come in search of bargains for their children (infant through teens).

Just Between Friend sells almost everything you need for your pregnancy, infant, toddler, school age child or young teens. Items sold at the event include clothing, toys, baby equipment, sports equipment, books, DVDs, games, room decor and more!

Consignors earn 60-70% of the money that their sold items bring in, which makes the prep time at home worth the effort. Consignors who are able to help out with the operation of the sale are able to earn a higher percentage of the money their items bring in. Consignors are paid their percentage by a check in the mail within two weeks of the conclusion of the sale, minus a $12 administrative fee.

Because of safety concerns, many moms prefer this format of selling their famillies’ items over online listing that require having an interested buyer come by their house to make a purchase.
