Hopkins resident selected as 2017 Bank of America Student Leader

Hopkins resident and The Blake School student Campbell Morrison selected for the 2017 Bank of America Student Leader Program

The Blake School junior Campbell Morrison is one of five Minneapolis-area teens selected to be part of the 2017 Bank of America Student Leaders program this summer. The program awards the students a paid, eight-week summer internship at a local nonprofit and a trip to Washington, D.C. to participate in the Bank of America Student Leadership Summit.

One participating student is Campbell Morrison, a Hopkins resident and rising senior of Blake High School. Campbell is the co-founder of Empty Bowls Club, a ceramics club where students create pots and auction them off to benefit Twin-Cities area food shelters. Campbell also co-founded BAM Group, an investment club that oversees a portion of the schools endowment, giving students the opportunity to learn about wealth management in a real-life setting. Additionally, he volunteers to tutor middle-school students in the evenings. As a proactive member in his community, Campbell has been able to develop leadership skills and positively impact those around him.

As part of the Bank of America Student Leaders program, each student receives a paid eight-week internship at a local non-profit. Campbell is interning at Hennepin Theatre Trust (HTT). The internships provide students with valuable work experience while also supporting the nonprofits with extra help this summer.
