Although the CDC has released considerations for the safety of those who operate, manage and use water playgrounds, the City is awaiting guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health regarding safe operations of Minnesota water parks, including splash pads. This guidance is anticipated to be included in a June 1 State of Minnesota announcement.
If it is determined that the splash pad can be safely operated and supervised within the CDC and Minnesota Department of Health guidelines, the splash pad will open later in June at a date to be determined.
