Shady Oak Lake Closed To Swimming In Hopkins

August 14, 2020

Regular testing conducted at Shady Oak Lake has indicated unsafe levels of E. coli bacteria in the water. As a result, and as a precautionary measure, the lake is closed for swimming at least through the weekend and until further testing indicates the water is safe. The playground and beach remain open.

The test was conducted this morning and no illnesses have been reported.Stay tuned for updates.
