Three Hopkins Players Invited to National U18 Hockey Camp

Grace Bizal, Erin O'Neil and Maliya Rodgers all play hockey for the Royals.

Hopkins Royals players Grace Bizal, Erin O’Neil and Maliya Rodgers are among the 30 hockey players invited to the U.S. Women's National Under-18 Evaluation Camp taking place Aug. 13-18, in Lake Placid, NY, according to USAhockey.com.

The players, who all live in Minnetonka, will compete for spots on the U.S. Women's National Under-18 Team that will take part in the 2013 Under-18 Series against Canada on Aug. 22-25 in Lake Placid.

O’Neil, a goalie, was a Star Tribune athlete of the week last year when she stopped 45 of 46 shots in an upset of No. 1 Minnetonka—a performance that also got her some recognition in the Feb. 4 edition of Sports Illustrated’s Faces in the Crowd.
