On Saturday, May 31, I did my service project with the American Heart Association. I walked in the 5K for heart attack survivors – extra special to me since my dad is a recent survivor. Prior to the walk, I collected donations for heart research. At the walk, there were stations set up where you could play games and win prizes. Everyone at the walk gathered in the Target Field stadium for a mascot race. There were so many mascots, I can't name the all! Goldie the Gopher, mascot for the U of M Golden Gophers, won the race. The dance cam that played before and after the race was awesome. It was fun to see peoples dance moves on the dance cam!! I had friends and family there supporting me, including past royalty member Sophia Dahlke (2012 Little Miss Inver Grove Heights) and her mother, Lori.  This was a fun and special event, and definitely for a great cause!
