DPS Grant Awarded For Extra DWI Enforcement In Inver Grove Heights
Unfortunately, IGH PD officers see a lot of these incidents and the damage that can be caused by intoxicated drivers.
February 22, 2021

Did you know that Dakota County has one of the highest rates of DWI incidents in the state? We know. Unfortunately, IGH PD officers see a lot of these incidents and the damage that can be caused by intoxicated drivers. Last year, Chief Chiodo decided to take additional action. IGH PD applied for and was awarded a grant by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety's Office of Traffic Safety to put toward DWI prevention and patrols in Inver Grove Heights. This year, one IGH PD officer will be dedicated to DWI patrols and community education around the consequences of drinking and driving and how to avoid it. Throughout 2021, look for extra reminders to get a sober ride on our IGH PD Facebook page and around IGH.
