IGH Man Pulled From VMCC Swimming Pool, Transported to Regions

A 68-year old adult male was observed by another swimmer having difficulty during adult open swim at the Veterans Memorial Community Center today, according to a statement from City Administrator Joe Lynch. 

The man was pulled from the water and emergency care was administered. He was subsequently transported to Regions Hospital.

A phone calls to city officials was not immediately returned. It is unclear whether the man was conscious or unconscious as he was transported to the hospital.
