Inver Grove Heights Teen Killed In Rollover Crash
The teen was a passenger in a vehicle traveling south on Interstate 35 in Pine County Saturday.
Two Inver Grove Heights teens were involved in a fatal single-vehicle rollover crash in Pine County Saturday. The teens were traveling in a 2001 Volvo Station Wagon southbound on Interstate 35, south of Hinckley when the vehicle made contact with the center median, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
At about 1:41 p.m., the Volvo overcorrected, causing the vehicle to rollover several times before landing upright. Passenger Salena Thavie Chhum, 19, of Inver Grove Heights died in the crash. The driver, Ryan Thomas Schreiber, 19, also of Inver Grove Heights, was transported to Essential Health in Sandstone with non-life threatening injuries.
Both occupants were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash, according to MSP.
