Pine Bend Landfill To Be A Renewable Natural Gas Plant: Report

The renewable natural gas plant will be the first in Minnesota.

INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, MN— The Pine Bend landfill in Inver Grove Heights will be converted into a renewable natural gas plant, The Star Tribune reported.

City Council approved Fortistar, a New York-based investment company, to run and build the new plant, the publication reported.

The renewable natural gas plant will be up and running by March 2022 and will be the first in Minnesota, the publication reported.
