Referendum Questions? School District 197 Hosting Open House

Independent School District 197 will ask voters to approve three separatefunding proposals Nov. 4.

The district is asking for $1.2 million annually for 10 years to fund technology improvements for classrooms.

The second proposal is for $3.2 million for a building bond for security improvements such as adding cameras and remodeling entrances.

The third question asks for a $4.5 million building bond that would construct a multi-use athletic facility at Henry Sibley High School.

School officials estimate that if all of the measures pass the yearly increased cost to someone with a home valued at $200,000 would be about $32.
